The Team

Bob
Bob, the team founder and usually the lead navigator, is a native of Rochester, NY and currently lives in Cary, NC. Bob is an Army Infantry Officer and works full-time with the North Carolina Army National Guard. He is an assistant organizer for the Trailblazers Adventure Racing Club - RDU Chapter and has organized some practice Adventure Races. Bob enjoys Adventure Racing for the unique challenges and sharing the experience as part of a team.

Marcey
Marcey is an Indiana native and currently resides in Raleigh, NC. She works as a Training Specialist with a Contract Research Organization in order to pay for all of the gear and race fees. Marcey has competed in several marathons, triathlons (sprint to iron-distance) and endurance mountain bike races. Marcey has been sponsored by Gu Sports since 2006 as an amateur triathlete and mountain biker. Her favorite flavor is Mint Chocolate and she will try to work the word Roctane into her race vocabulary as often as possible!!!

Drew
Drew is a native of NC, currently living in Creedmor. He works for the North Carolina National Guard at the Camp Butner training site. New to the world of Adventure Racing, Drew is looking forward to pushing the limits with the Waterlogged Dogwoods

Dave

David’s a Raleigh native like all other Raleigh natives, being born and spending the first few years overseas moving to Raleigh in 5th grade. David has recently been hired by the City of Raleigh Fire Department and begins Recruit training in December 2011. He enjoys riding my mountain bikes and paddling around the ocean and lakes on my paddleboard. I’ve raced numerous xc and xxc mountain bike races and done well with them. I enjoy Adventure Racing the most because it requires such a strong team focus and it requires you to think and always be aware of how your teammates are doing. His favorite race food is sausage pizza and blue Gatorade. He looks forward to pushing his limits in many many more AR’s with Waterlogged Dogwoods.

Mike
Bob's generated bio for Mike: "I think Mike was originally from NC and is a UNC Grad - GO TARHEELS. He is currently living in Northern VA and works as a defense contractor. Mike has the most Adventure Racing experience of the group, also participating in ironman length triathlons and other endurance style challenges."
